Jimmy Shao is a well-known music/voice teacher, having taught over 300 students in the Bay Area in the past 15 years. Born in Taiwan, Jimmy demonstrated his music talent since his childhood. He was the first violinist at the Demonstration Symphony Orchestra of the Defense Department in Taiwan and became a well-known singer in Taiwan when he was a college student. After he came to the United States, Jimmy studied music from various musicians from the Bay Area, including Professor Herman La Rue from San Francisco Music Conservatory. He also refined his voice techniques through a series of course work from the University of Indiana and developed his unique way of singing popular music with opera technique known as Cross Over. He is a highly respected musician from the Bay Area and has performed on various stages in the United States and overseas as well as served as a judge at various music competitions in the Bay Area. His teaching could be in Chinese or in English.
